ACT and Labour agree

Labour has apparently just announced policy to raise the eligibility age for Super.

So ACT and Labour agree on a major issue.

Interesting.

It is getting interesting. Labour's CGT will scare off all investment property and commercial property owners, plus farmers (as with their proximity to the Greens with 2015 getting closer and closer), which I guess they figured they didn't have the votes of anyway, however, this will strike at the heart of their core constituency, yet, they can argue they are taking a more responsible line, on this one issue, than National.

Very risky gamble which won't pay off, but if may have the good effect of moving National on their policy in this area.

As Matt McCarten astutely observes, Labour will get respect for it, but not from THEIR voters.
