The people must be protected

According to Reason
Chinese authorities have banned films and television shows mixing animation with real people. The ban is part of an effort to boost local production and reduce the amount of foreign content on Chinese TV. But media regulators also have a history of wariness regarding material than smacks of the supernatural or fantasy. The talking-pig movie "Babe" was banned several years ago, according to Variety, "on the basis that animals can't talk and some viewers would be confused."

I guess there's not much hope for Animal Farm then.
